(LONDON, Ontario) -- Thursday night at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning beat the St. John Mill Rats 104-92.

The win pushes the Lightning's record to 13-3 to lead the Central Division.

Warren Ward had a game high 24 points, contributing seven rebounds and six assists.

Stephen Maxwell had another double-double, finishing with 23 points and 18 rebounds.

"We had a good night tonight, we were clicking a little bit and we kept running the same play and it was working for the most part," said coach Kyle Julius. "When you win for a month straight and you don't lose, you wonder how they're going to respond to a loss, we were talking about that all day, and I was happy with what I saw."

After the Lightning led by only three points after the first quarter, the team got the ball to Ward who had the hot hand.

"I've got really good teammates, and I try to hit my spots. I try not to get too aggressive, but I give all my credit to them because I was on the receiving end of some great passes."

The Lightning next host the Windsor Express on Saturday.

Saturday is Kids Day presented by Libro. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and there will be face painting, dance lessons from the London Lightning dance pack, a basketball inflatable, and much more. Game time is 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available from the Budweiser Gardens box office, or online.
