(LONDON, Ontario) - Saturday night at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville the London Lightning beat the Orangeville A's 123-108.

The win was the Lightning's third in a row, pushing their record to 6-2.

Stephen Maxwell led the team with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Tyshawn Patterson made three 3-pointers to end with 24 points as well.

Akeem Wright also had a strong game, shooting 6-for-10 and 18 points along with six assists.

"We had an up and down first half, but I was extremely pleased with our energy in the second half. That was the best half we've played all season," said Coach Kyle Julius. "We didn't have a great first half, and the whole halftime speech was about trusting the game plan, and that's what we did in the second."

London next heads to Niagara to face the River Lions on Wednesday (Jan.

20) and the Windsor Express next Friday (Jan. 22) before returning home to face the A's on Saturday (Jan. 23) at Budweiser Gardens. The team will be wearing custom camo printed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to the St Joseph's Health Care Foundation's Fund for Parkwood Veteran's Hospital.

Tip-off is 7:00 p.m. and tickets are available through Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
