(BRAMPTON, Ontario) - Tonight, at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, the London Lightning defeated the Brampton A's, 118-113. The Lightning now improve to 3-1.

The Lightning's top point scorer was shooting guard Zane Johnson with 24 points.

"We came out and capitalized in the beginning. We moved the ball and played the way we needed to play", said Johnson. "We need to focus on playing a full 48 minutes, but today we demonstrated that we can work under pressure."

Other top contributors included Emmanuel Little with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Marvin Phillips with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The A's Richard Amardi led all scorers with 34 points.

The Lightning play their next game at home on Saturday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Budweiser Gardens where they host their annual purple night in support of the London Abused Women's Centre's 'Shine the Light on Woman Abuse' Campaign.

The Lightning players will wear custom purple jerseys which will be autographed and auctioned off after the game with all proceeds benefitting the London Abused Women's Centre. Fans are also encouraged to wear purple to show their support for this month long campaign.
