London Lightning News Release
(LONDON, Ontario) - The Lightning have signed TyShwan Edmonson, a 6'4" guard and the 2014-2015 NBL Canada Newcomer of the Year.
"TyShwan is what I like to call a Swiss Army knife, which means he does a lot of everything," said head coach Kyle Julius. "I fell in love with his game while I was coaching against him last year. He was making big plays on offense and defense all season; he fits our style of play perfectly. He plays above the rim so the fans are sure to love his athleticism."
Edmonson is a Kentucky native who played collegiately at Austin Peay. He comes to the Lightning after playing one season with the Brampton A's where he averaged 13 points per game.
"I am excited to be working with Coach Kyle. He wants to help us as a team and help us as individuals too. Everyone knows that the Lightning is the best team in the league and Coach Kyle also had a lot of great things to say about Vito and the City of London. I am really looking forward to becoming a part of the Lightning family and to working hard for the London fans. " said Edmonson.
