Lighting Beat Express to Snap Streak

(WINDSOR, ON) After losing to the Windsor Express just 5-days prior, the London Lightning bounced back and picked up a much needed win over the Express, ending their four-game losing streak. With the 125-121 victory, the Lightning improve to 13-7 on the season.

While the final outcome was in their favour, it was heavily in doubt for much of the second and third quarters. Despite a small lead and scoring an impressive 30 points in the first quarter, the Lightning were outscored 39-29 in the second and 35-28 in the third and saw themselves down by as many 19 points late in the third quarter. London would outscore the Expres 38-20 in the fourth quarter and complete their biggest come from behind win on the season.

Anthony Gaines Jr led the Lighting with 30 points off the bench while filling the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 4 made threes. Making his debut for the Lightning was forward Cameron Forte who posted 25 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forwards Randy Phillips and Marcus Capers both added 16 points on the night. Garrett Williamson (13), Xavier Moon (12) and Tyrell Green (10) rounded out the scoring for the Lightning.
