Leagues Cup 2026 Disciplinary Committee Decisions - September 1

NEW YORK CITY AND MEXICO CITY - The Leagues Cup Organizing Committee today announced the Leagues Cup 2026 Disciplinary Committee decisions following the Quarterfinal matches, played on August 25 and 26, 2026.
Following the 40th minute of the Austin FC vs. Toluca match, Austin FC player Joseph Rosales was issued a red card for committing serious foul play. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Rosales.
Following the 74th minute of the Austin FC vs. Toluca match, Austin FC player Ilie Sánchez Farrés was issued a red card for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language and/or actions. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Sánchez.
Following the conclusion of the Austin FC vs. Toluca match, Austin FC player Guilherme Biro was issued a red card for showing disrespect, verbal or non-verbal, to the Referees and/or Match Officials. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a two-match suspension to Biro.
Following the 79th minute of the América vs. Columbus Crew match, América Assistant Coach Darwin Ariel Quintana Mestrallet was issued a red card for using offensive, insulting, or abusive language and/or actions. In accordance with Article 4.2.C of the Leagues Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, the Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-match suspension to Quintana.
