Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry defeat Buffalo Stampede

The Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry defeated the Buffalo Stampede by the score of 164-96 at the Koessler Center in Buffalo. The Cavalry improve to 13-2, while the Stampede fall to 3-12.

The Stampede, playing their second game in two nights under new Coach Romeo McKinney and with two new players on the roster, hung in with the Cavalry early, but wore down from a depth perspective as the Cavalry bench outscored the Buffalo bench by 88-22.

The Stampede were led by Corey Herring and Kevin Ross with 19 points apiece. Herring also added 9 rebounds. Mark Price chipped in with 16 points and 7 assists. Frank Turner added 14.

The Cavalry had nine players in double figures, led by Rashad Woods off the bench with 25 points. Eddie Smith and Tim Ellis had 18 apiece for Lawton-Fort Sill.

The next home game for the Stampede will be on Thursday, March 18 at the Koessler Center against the defending champion Rochester RazorSharks. Tip-off is at 7:30 P.M. Tickets are available at the box office or by calling 603-9749.
