
Law Takes On Twisters Tonight

LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Law host the Arkansas Twisters tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Fans can get a haircut at the game, courtesy of Mars & Venus Hair Designs. The Law will hand out âDEFENSE' signs courtesy of ADT to the first 2,500 fans tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The finals of the Pass, Run & Kick contest will be held at 5 p.m. inside the LEC. The winners of the PRK will be announced at halftime of the game. Tickets can be purchased to the Law game tonight for just $5 with the donation of a can of food.
ARKANSAS TWISTERS (2-10) AT LAREDO LAW (2-10) FRIDAY, JULY 9, 2004 - LAREDO ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (8,000) 7:30 P.M. CT
Coming off of a big win last week, the Arkansas Twisters take to the road to face the Laredo Law. In overtime Arkansas defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings 67-61. The difference in the game was the performance of KEVIN WILLIAMS who registered nine receptions for 149 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran in another touchdown. He scored the final three Arkansas touchdowns of the game, including one with no time remaining to push the game into overtime and the game winning score in overtime. Williams played offensive specialist last season, but began this season as the starting quarterback. Now he is back at the position of offensive specialist. Laredo is coming off of a loss to Tulsa last week 60-40 at home. For Laredo, P.J. WINSTON is a solid all around player. On offense Winston leads the Law in receiving with 62 catches for 961 yards and fourteen touchdowns and has one rushing touchdown. On defense Winston has registered eleven tackles (7UA 8A), four pass breakups, one recovered fumble and forced fumble. B'JAY JONES has come on of late for the Law. Last week he grabbed three touchdown passes, on the season he has ten. On defense Jones has one sack and two passes broken up. Looking at the defense for the Twisters, DARNELL SMALL holds the line with 8.0 tackles for a loss with 5.0 of them sacks. Small also has two forced fumbles and one recovered fumble. On offense TRAVIS MOTLEY will start again at quarterback for the Twisters. On the season Motley has completed 57 of 116 passes for 807 yards and fourteen touchdowns and five interceptions. This is the only game between Arkansas and Laredo this season.
