Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release
LAKE CHARLES - The Louisiana Swashbucklers beat the undefeated Odessa Roughnecks in a 70 - 63 intense last few seconds bringing their record to 7 and 4.
As they look toward the playoffs, only one question remains "How many Swashbucklers fans do we have in Lake Charles" asks General Manager, Scott Blanchard. "It's been an exciting season so far, but we still want to see the Smugglers' Den packed for the last regular season home game. What many fans don't realize is how important of a role they play in winning a game." Coach Darnell Lee added, "The fans are my ninth player. They make the difference in every game. When we're on offense we need to hear our plays, but when we're on defense, we need to blow the roof of the den with volume from the fans. It's how games are won or lost."
The Louisiana Swashbucklers host the San Angelo Stampede Express this Saturday and are look forward to sealing home field advantage for a playoff game. Tickets start at just $7 on the KPLC upper deck. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Kick off is at 7:05 PM.
Tickets are available through the Lake Charles Box Office at 491-1432. For more information on 2007 season tickets, call the Swashbucklers office at 310-PASS (7277).
