Lashun Mcdaniel Added To World Basketball Cup Executive Committee

Indianapolis, IN. LaShun "Supe" McDaniel has been added to the Executive Committee of the World Basketball Cup (www.worldbasketballcup.com). According to Joe Newman, WBC CEO (and CEO of the American Basketball Association), "Shawn has the background and credentials needed to help maximize the potential of this extraordinary event scheduled for Atlanta in July/August 2010. His international qualifications as a player and a coach are tremendous; his knowledge of basketball in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia is extensive. He will be working closely with our other European Executive Committee member, Tom Ellingsen. We hope to announce the first European entries into the WBC very shortly."

Currently Shawn is the Head Basketball Coach of the European Basketball Club Seniors Team (P.1 Belgium Division, Belgium Basketball Federation. He was Head Coach of the ABA Selection team for the Japanese/Asia Challenge Tour in April/May 2007 and former Head Coach of the Beijing Aoshen Olympian ABA European Challenge Tour in the summer of 2006 as well as their head coach in the ABA 2005-2006 season. He has also coached in Italy, Dubai and Indonesia and has played professionally in the NBA, Canada, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, Argentina and Venezuela. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Community from Saint Augustine College and speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.
