
Laredo evens record with win

HARLINGEN, Texas - Jesse Hendriksen pitched four scoreless innings of relief and the Laredo Broncos even their record with a 6-0 victory over the Edinburg Coyotes in the first game Tuesday in the Texas Winter League.
Hendriksen (1-0) allowed three hits and one walk. Starter Andrew Revall pitched two scoreless innings and reliever Craig Pearson pitched the final inning to preserve the shutout.
The Broncos (4-4) have won three of their last four. Carlos De La Rosa and Josh Ashton had two hits apiece and drove in a run. Donnie Poles added an RBI triple in the sixth inning.
Edinburg starter Alan Bowen (1-2) went four innings, walking five, while taking the loss. Alberto Duran pitched the fifth and sixth innings, allowing two run, and Josh Jennings surrendered a run in the final inning. This was the Coyotes second straight defeat and third in their last four outings.
The Coyotes (2-5) managed only four hits, coming from R.C. Dickerson, Marshall Deal, Eduardo Garcia and Alberto Duran.
Tomorrow's schedule: Laredo faces Brownsville at 11:00 a.m., and Edinburg vs. Harlingen at 3:30.
