(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers concluded their successful 2011-12 regular season with a 10-2 win against the Wichita Wings on Sunday at the Blue Cross Arena. The season witnessed many individual and team accomplishments and prior to Sunday's game against the Wings the Lancers held their annual awards honoring season-long individual achievements. The club's Most Valuable Player award went to Doug Miller who at 42, returned to professional soccer and tallied 25 goals and 66 points despite missing the team's finale due to injury. Fellow striker Mauricio Salles and goalkeeper Patrick Hannigan returned to the Flower City this season to capture the club's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards respectively. In total the Lancers handed out nine team awards. The complete list of awards and their recipients are listed below:

Total Sports Experience - MISL Defensive Player of The Month - Brayton Knapp
Rochester wraps up their inaugural season with an 11-13 record and a trip to the MISL playoffs. The club will take on the regular season divisional champion Baltimore Blast in the Eastern Division Finals on Saturday, March 10 at First Mariner Arena in Baltimore beginning at 7:30 p.m. Game two of the series will take place at the Blue Cross Arena on Monday, March 12 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.
