The Rochester Lancers Ownership Group is proud to welcome Joe Giuliano to their soccer family. Joe will direct all Radio, TV and Internet broadcasts. All Lancers games will be heard on Fickle 93.3FM in Rochester, NY and streaming live at RochesterLancers.com. All games will also be on MISLLive.com
Joe Giuliano is a sports broadcaster who currently works in the professional soccer field. In addition to his reputable soccer broadcast work, Giuliano has also covered Rochester Americans Hockey (AHL) and Rochester Knighthawks Lacrosse (NLL). He served as the pre-game, intermission and post-game Radio/TV Host for the Amerks and Knighthawks respectively, before accepting the play-by-play position with the Rochester Lancers (MISL) in October 2011.
During the summer months, Giuliano serves as the Radio/TV voice of the Rochester Rhinos (USL). After sitting in the color analyst seat for 12 seasons, Giuliano stepped in as the voice of the Rhinos in 2009. Since then Giuliano's soccer broadcasting career has been on the rise. He frequently appears on FOX Soccer Channel working as the play-by-play broadcaster and color analyst for USL Soccer coverage. Giuliano's experience has also opened the door to International Soccer, and he has been hired by Integrated Sports Media for international matches. Most recently, he called the PPV Match between Argentina and Costa Rica from the Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica.
After a stellar playing career at Greece Arcadia High School, Monroe Community College and SUNY Oswego (Selected Team Captain and All-County in high school/Selected All New York State, Team Captain and Leading Scorer in college), Giuliano was hired by Soccer Sam (aka, Sam Fantauzzo) to help launch Rochester's first ever soccer television show (The Soccer Sam Show) in 1996. Since then Giuliano has appeared on Empire Sports Network, MSG, WHEC-TV, NHL Network and the Time-Warner Cable Sports Network.
In addition to his broadcast work, Giuliano served as Men's Assistant Soccer Coach at SUNY Brockport for 2 seasons. He currently is the Assistant Coach for the Boys Varsity Soccer Team at Greece Athena High School.
Giuliano currently resides in North Greece with his wife Kristen and 3 sons, Georgie, Joey and Jack.
The Rochester Lancers season starts on November 4th against The Syracuse Silver Knights and their home opener will be played on Saturday, November 12th, at 1 p.m. against the Missouri Comets. All home games are played at the Blue Cross Arena. Season Tickets start at just $130, including lower level midfield sections, through the month of October. Individual game tickets start at $10 for adults, and children ages 12 and under will receive free entry for every regular season home game.
