LAKELAND, FL - With season play only a few short months away, The Lakeland Raiders are proud to announce their 2012 home schedule is official and ready for public release. The Raiders will play seven home games at The Lakeland Center on March 10th, March 17th, April 14th, April 27th, May 14th, May 26th and June 2nd. Kick-off for all home games will be 7:15pm.The Raiders will open their 2012 season with a home game on March 10th taking on The Rome Rampage, an expansion organization team from Georgia.
Owner Michael Mink is very enthusiastic about the upcoming season and inaugural home game "The entire Raider organization is excited to know our first game will be at The Lakeland Center - in our own house! It is the greatest feeling to know the first time we all come together as a team and play for the fans - we will be in our hometown."
Throughout the season, The Raiders will battle with the other seven Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL) teams including the Rome (GA) Rampage, Florida Tarpons, Mississippi Hound Dogs, Huntington(WV) Hammer and the Tennessee Rail Runners. Exciting for both the fans and teams alike, the UIFL schedule emphasizes division and conference play.
The Lakeland Raiders' season tickets are on sale now and with prices ranging from $59 to $140. For fans wanting the "Ultimate In-The-Game-Experience," lower level boxes, with seating for up to 10 fans, are available for $3500. Tickets are currently on sale at The Lakeland Center Box Office or by calling the Raiders Battalion at 863-834-7511.
The team also has an upcoming tryout camp on October 8th at Lakeland Christian. Registration will start at 10am. Athletes are encouraged to pre-register at the team website www.lakelandraiders.com.
