
LA Riptide to Host Viewing Party at Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach

CARSON, CALIFORNIA - Thursday, August 23, 2007 - Lacrosse fans in Southern California will have the opportunity to watch the final game of the season as the Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Riptide of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) today announced that they will host a viewing party of the NB ZIP MLL Championship game at Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach (3801 Highland Ave., 310-545-6563) on Sunday, August 26 starting at 10 a.m. (PT).
Members of the Riptide wave patrol and mascot Rippy will be on hand to celebrate the 2007 MLL season with fans and host promotions during the championship game, which will be televised live on ESPN2 HD as the MLL Game of the Week. The championship game will feature the winners of the semifinal games on Saturday when the No. 1 seed Philadelphia Barrage take on No. 4 seed Denver Outlaws at 11 a.m. (PT) followed by the No. 2 seed Riptide versus the No. 3 seed Rochester Rattlers at 2 p.m. (PT).
Sharkeez will provide reserved seating, free appetizers and two-for-one drinks for all Riptide fans in attendance throughout the championship game.
