LA KISS Look to Subdue the Predators

April 22, 2016 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Los Angeles KISS News Release

LA KISS defensive back Rayshaun Kizer heads back to Orlando where he got his start in the AFL. As a rookie in 2010, Kizer led the AFL with 12 interceptions. In Kizer's second and final season with the Predators, his 16 interceptions set the AFL single-season record. The second year LA KISS player is currently third on the AFL career interceptions leaderboard. Last week Kizer recorded his second interception of the season, which he returned 49 yards for a touchdown.

Orlando Predator's defensive lineman Darryl Cato-Bishop will be playing his first game against his former team. He spent his first two AFL seasons with the LA KISS. After seeing action in five games as a rookie in 2014, Cato-Bishop started all 18 games on the LA KISS defensive line last season. He recorded 28 total tackles and five sacks over his LA KISS career. This season, Cato-Bishop has started all three of Orlando's games, making four tackles, including three and a half tackles for a loss.

Wide receiver DJ Stephens is becoming quarterback Nathan Stanley's favorite passing target. Through the first three games, Stephens' 27 receptions lead the LA KISS and rank third in the league. In addition, he is currently leading the LA KISS with 289 receiving yards and is the only LA KISS receiver this season to surpass 100 receiving yards in a game, a milestone that he has done twice. Meanwhile, Donovan "Captain" Morgan has continued to make game changing plays and getting the ball in the end zone. "Captain" Morgan is second in the league with eight touchdowns (six receiving and two rushing). Look for Stephens and Morgan to overwhelm the defensive backfield of the Predators this week.
