LA KISS Comeback Comes up Short, Lose to Rattlers 64-49

The LA KISS had a huge third quarter. One play after Wilson returned the opening kickoff of the second half 55 yards, Nixon punched a five-yard rushing touchdown, which cut the Rattlers' lead to 14. Then Morgan hauled in a 19-yard touchdown from Thomas. After the kick split the uprights, the LA KISS trailed 36-to-43. Following a Fredrick Obi interception, Thomas hit Nixon for an 11-yard touchdown. The kick sailed left of the uprights and the LA KISS trailed by one-point. The Rattlers took an eight-point lead on a 34-yard Davila-to-Benson touchdown. Thomas pitched a 43-yard touchdown to Morgan and, after the kick found the uprights, the LA KISS were within one point. The score with one quarter remaining was LA KISS 49, Arizona 50.The Rattlers scored only points of the fourth quarter on two Benson one-yard rushing touchdowns to extend their lead to 15. The LA KISS were unable to find the end zone in the quarter, as Pete Thomas tossed two interceptions. The final scoreboard had the LA KISS falling to the Arizona Rattlers by a score of 64-to-49. After the universal Week 14 bye in celebration of Independence Day, the LA KISS will host the Tampa Bay Storm at the Honda on July 11. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and will be available to be streamed live online via ESPN3/WatchESPN and on the ESPN app.
