
LA KISS Comeback Comes up Short, Lose to Rattlers 64-49

Anaheim, CA - A tremendous third quarter was not enough for the LA KISS (5-7) to surmount a 21-point first half deficit and they fell to the Arizona Rattlers (10-3) by a final score of 64-49 in front of a 7,090 person Honda Center crowd on Sunday afternoon.
"It was a very disappointing loss against a very good team," said Coach Omar Smith "We have got a lot of work to do to compete with the better teams in this league. I believe in our guys. We will get the job done at some point, but it is a process."
The LA KISS were led by quarterback Pete Thomas, who completed 15-of-36 pass attempts for 291 yards and five touchdowns. Under Armour Offensive Player of the Game, Donovan "Captain" Morgan grabbed seven receptions for 176 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Wilson recorded in two catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. Fullback Rory Nixon added 32 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
For the Rattlers, quarterback Nick Davila threw five touchdown passes and two interceptions, while completing 20-of-32 pass attempts for 251 yards. Maurice Purify led Arizona's receivers with 10 receptions for 101 yards and three touchdowns. Chase Deadder hauled in three receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Riddell Defensive Player of the Game, Josh Victorian led the LA KISS defense with six and a half total tackles (six solo) and an interception. Fredrick Obi tallied three tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery. Terrance Smith added five tackles. For Arizona, the J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Game, Jeremy Kellem recorded four and a half tackles and two interceptions. KJ Morton registered two tackles and an interception return touchdown.
