LOS ANGELES - LA Galaxy II today announced that the club has transferred midfielder Brandon Téllez to Liga MX side Club Deportivo Guadalajara.

A product of the LA Galaxy Academy, Téllez logged one goal in 19 appearances (9 starts) for LA Galaxy II during the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season. Additionally, Téllez was named the 2022 LA Galaxy Academy Player of the Year. Internationally, the Fullerton, Calif., native has made multiple appearances at the youth level for Mexico.

"This is a watershed moment for the LA Galaxy Academy and LA Galaxy II. To be able to transfer a homegrown GII player to one of the biggest clubs in our region speaks volumes about the great work that is being done in the LA Galaxy player development pathway," said LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz. "We wish Brandon all the best in his new challenge."
