LA Galaxy II Sign Defender Owen Lambe

LOS ANGELES - LA Galaxy II announced today that the club has signed defender Owen Lambe. Lambe, 22, most recently played for Cal State Fullerton.

"Owen is a young and versatile player who has good potential," said LA Galaxy General Manger Dennis te Kloese. "We believe he will add solid depth to our defense. We are pleased to add Owen to our organization and look forward to him continuing to develop as a player."

The Santa Barbara, Calif., native spent one year at Cal State Fullerton in 2019, where he scored two game-winning goals and added one assist in 19 appearances.

Lambe graduated from Santa Barbara High School in Santa Barbara, California in 2018, where he recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 23 games. In his senior year, Lambe led his team to the league championship and went on to win the CIF-SS Division 1 title, while earning All-Channel League offensive MVP.

LA Galaxy II will host their home opener for the 2021 USL Championship season against Sacramento Republic FC on Friday, April 30 at Dignity Health Sports Park. The 2021 season will mark the eighth year in LA Galaxy history.
