LA Galaxy II host Charlotte Eagles at StubHub Center on Monday

CARSON, Calif. - The LA Galaxy II (4-1-2, 14 points) will host the Charlotte Eagles FC (2-3-0, 6 points) in USL PRO Week 7 at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium on Monday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. PT. All of the action will be streamed live via lagalaxy.com and the club's YouTube channel with play-by-play commentary from LA Galaxy broadcast veteran Joe Tutino.

The LA Galaxy II returned to the top of the standings as Rafael Garcia, Travis Bowen and Gyasi Zardes scored for the Galaxy II in the team's 3-0 victory over the Orange County Blues at Anteater Stadium last Sunday afternoon. The victory moved Galaxy II back into a tie with Orlando City SC in the USL PRO standings as they handed the Blues their heaviest defeat of the season. Los Dos' win on Saturday was their third against Orange County in their inaugural 2014 campaign.

For their role in LA's win over Orange County, LA Galaxy II midfielder Rafael Garcia was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 6 of the 2014 USL PRO season after he scored the opening goal as Los Dos defeated the Blues. Additionally, Galaxy II forward Travis Bowen and midfielder Alejandro Covarrubias were named as honorable mentions after their strong performance in Sunday's victory.

Monday's match will mark the first time the Galaxy II will face the Charlotte Eagles, and the only time in the season that these two teams will face off in USL PRO regular season play. Led by head coach Mark Steffens, who has led the squad for 18 years, the Charlotte Eagles dropped a 2-1 result against Arizona United SC on Saturday night in Arizona before traveling to California to meet the Galaxy side on Monday night.

Last weekend, the Eagles defeated the Wilmington Hammerheads FC 2-0 at Legion Stadium. Midfielders Wells Thompson and Drew Yates led the Eagles to victory with a goal each in the second half. The Eagles currently sit in tenth place of the USL PRO standings with six points.
