Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that goaltender Kyle Gajewski of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 15, 2007. Gajewski stopped 120 of 132 shots posting a 2.89 goals against average and a .909 save percentage leading the Greyhounds to three consecutive playoff victories over the London Knights.
The 20-year-old native of London, Ontario made 33 saves on Tuesday night posting a shutout in a 3-0 victory at home and 41saves on Thursday night in a 5-2 road win. Gajewski was named the first-star in both games. On Sunday night, Gajewski capped off the comeback for the Greyhounds after making 33 saves in a 5-4 victory, forcing the series to a seventh game.
