
Kwitzer, Griggs Take Home Weekly Awards

Chris Kwitzer of the Glens Falls Dragons and Bradley Griggs of the Jamestown Jammers are taking home this week's awards.
The two put up great weeks in the week that began on Independence Day and ended July 10.
Kwitzer hit .400 during the week, including a staggering three home runs and eight RBIs. The Buffalo product scored six runs and stole one base. Kwitzer homered in three straight games to end the week. He had three RBIs on both July 7 and July 8.
On the season, Kwitzer is hitting .414 with four home runs and 18 RBIs and 13 extra-base hits. He also has the one stolen base. He as a 1.237 OPS and a .444 on-base percentage.
At Buffalo this season, Kwitzer hit .285 in 45 games to go with three home runs and 23 RBIs. He had a .366 on-base percentage and three stolen bases.
Griggs is named Pitcher of the Week after tossing seven shutout innings on Saturday and picking up the win against Newark. Griggs struck out six batters and didn't allow a hit in those seven innings.
On the season, the lefty has three wins in 33.1 innings pitched in six appearances. Griggs has also struck out 38 batters. At the University of Texas at San Antonio this year, he appeared in 16 games.
