
Knoxville's Doug Reid Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - (October 26, 2015) The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Doug Reid of the Knoxville Ice Bears is the Easton Player of the Week for October 23-25.
Reid recorded three goals, in the form of his first professional hat trick, and was +4 in helping the defending President's Cup champions kick off the 2015-16 season with a pair of wins.
On Friday, the Innisfil, Ontario native had four shots in a 5-4 shootout win over Macon. Reid came back on Saturday with three goals in leading Knoxville to a 4-2 win over Columbus. Reid scored his first professional goal late in the second period before tallying twice more in the third, including the game-winner.
Reid played four seasons at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he was team captain his junior and senior years. Reid was also named to the WCHA All-Academic team his final two seasons.
