
Knights nip Otters

Adam Perry scored three times and added two assists to lead the London Knights to a 6-4 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of a season-high crowd of 4,801 at the Tullio Arena. Patrick Kane added a goal and three assists for the Knights, who secured their fourth straight OHL Regular Season title with the victory. Luke VanMoerkerke and Justin Taylor also scored for London. The Knights finished the Regular Season with a 50-14-1-3 record. Jordan Skellett paced the Otters with a pair of goals. Zack Torquato, with his 30th of the season, and Stanislav Polodna netted the other Erie goals. The Otters finished the regular season in the midst of a five-game losing streak and with a 15-50-1-2 record. The Knights led 2-1 after one and 4-1 heading into the third. Skellett struck for his two goals in the opening five minutes of the third to make it a one-goal game before London scored back-to-back power-play goals to quell the Otters uprising. The Otters out shot the Knights 60-33 in the game as Kevin Beech took the loss. The three stars of the game were 1. Perry; 2. Kane and 3. Skellett.
