
Knighthawks to hold championship celebration on Saturday, May 26th

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Knighthawks will hold a Champion's Cup Celebration on Saturday, May 26th at PAETEC Park. That night the Rochester Rattlers open their Major League Lacrosse season at 7:30 p.m. against the Washington Bayhawks.
The festivities begin at noon at Nathaniel's Pub at 251 Exchange Blvd. The pregame party runs until 5:00 p.m. At Nathaniel's, fans can get their photos taken with the Champion's Cup and watch the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Final Four games on ESPN2. Admission is free.
At 6:30 p.m., fans can mingle with the Knighthawks players, members of the coaching staff and the Cup at a pregame meet and greet at PAETEC Park. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Knighthawks' Championship poster courtesy of Salvatore's. Fans can also purchase Knighthawks championship merchandise at the Team Store.
During the game, the Rattlers will honor the 2007 National Lacrosse League champions with a special highlight video and halftime introductions. After the game, fans will be allowed on the field for photos and autographs.
The Postgame party is scheduled at Water Street Music Hall (204 North Water Street) from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Admission is free. At the event, patrons can enjoy the replay of the NLL Championship Game and live music.
Rochester captured the 2007 NLL title on May 12th, defeating the Arizona Sting 13-11 at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The win was the team's 15th straight and capped a 17-2 season. The championship was the second in the franchise's history. The Knighthawks last won the title in 1997.
