Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, November 5, 2008 - The Philadelphia KiXX have announced today that the club has come to terms with All-Star goalkeeper Peter Pappas for the 2008-09 season. Pappas joins player/coach Don D'Ambra as the only two players to be with the team since the club's inception in 1996. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Pappas will enter his 13th season, having played every game as a member of the KiXX. The four-time Goalkeeper-of-the-Year recipient went 9-12 with a 10.36 PAA while playing in 22 of the club's games last season. Goalkeeper for both of the KiXX championships (2002 and 2007), Pappas has been named to the All-League team eight times, while posting four career shutouts, including last season against the Baltimore Blast on January 5, a 4-0 KiXX win.

The KiXX will host the Massachusetts Twisters in the team's season opener on Saturday, November 15. Game time at the historic Wachovia Spectrum is set for 7:05pm ET.

Philadelphia KiXX season tickets and 6-PaXX mini-plans are on sale now by calling the club's ticket office at 1-888-888-KiXX (5499).
