Philadelphia, PA, February 8, 2008 - The defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Philadelphia KiXX (9-11) will host the Milwaukee Wave (14-6) on Saturday, February 9 at 7:05pm. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a KiXX Hat courtesy of NBC10. The match will be webcast live on www.wmssfm.com with play-by-play from John Wilsbach.
The Wave will make their first trip to Philadelphia after hosting the KiXX twice this season. On December 7, the KiXX dropped a 14-8 decision in a Fox Soccer Channel match that saw every goal scored by a different player on both sides. On January 4, the KiXX fell 12-10 despite two goals from captain Pat Morris in another Fox Soccer Channel match. Philadelphia couldn't overcome two two-goal performances from Milwaukee stars Troy Dusosky and Greg Howes. Howes, the 2004-05 MISL MVP, leads the entire League in goals (31) and points (78). Nick Vorberg leads the MISL in wins in net with 11, minutes (1017), and saves (222). Coach Keith Tozer has the most wins in American indoor soccer coaching history with 587 victories.
The club will host the Chicago Storm for the team's 13th Annual School Day Game on Wednesday, February 13 at 10:35am. The KiXX will travel to Detroit to face the Ignition on Friday, February 15 at 7:35pm ET before returning home to host the California Cougars on Saturday, February 23 at 7:05pm ET for the KiXX first ever Dollar Dog Night.
