Philadelphia KiXX News Release
Philadelphia, PA, January 9, 2009 - The Philadelphia KiXX (2-4) look to ring in the New Year and snap their current four-game losing skid with a trip north to battle the Massachusetts Twisters on Saturday, January 10. Both of Philadelphia's victories this season have come courtesy of the Twisters. Game-time on Saturday at the Eastern States Coliseum is scheduled for 7:35 pm ET and can be heard live via webcast at www.wmssfm.com. Veteran play-by-plan man John Wilsbach will provide the call.
Philadelphia enters the affair one win shy of reaching 250 victories in the 13-year franchise history. The club posted win number 249 in Massachusetts on December 13, but has since fallen victim to a four-game losing streak. Cape May Court House native Matthew Maher will make his KiXX debut after agreeing to terms on a three-game/15-day contract on January 7. The defender joins older brother, Anthony, on the Philadelphia roster to mark the first time the siblings have competed on the same team professionally indoors. Philadelphia native Pat Morris will look to extend his team-high six game point streak and close in 400 points for his illustrious career; the Northeast Catholic graduate enters with 396 career points.
Following the contest, the club returns to the friendly confines of the historic Wachovia Spectrum to entertain the top-ranked Baltimore Blast on Saturday, January 17. The night is dubbed "Dollar Dog Night" where all hot dogs will be priced at $1. Kick-off is slated for 7:05 pm ET with the doors opening at 6:05 pm ET.
Philadelphia KiXX season tickets and 6-PaXX mini-plans are on sale now by calling the club's ticket office at 1-888-888-KiXX (5499). Season ticket holders will receive invitations to KiXX events like the Meet the Team Party and Meet the Team Luncheon. Single-game tickets are now available through the KiXX and the Wachovia Center Box Office, as well as online at www.comcasttix.com and at select Acme Market locations in PA and NJ.
