Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, April 24, 2008 - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that Philadelphia KiXX captain Pat Morris has been named to the All-MISL Second Team. The honor is the second of Morris' nine-year career, after being named to the All-MISL First Team five times including the KiXX 2006-07 Championship Season. Morris was named the MISL Defender-of-the-Year in 2004-05 and was named to the All-Rookie team his first season in the League, 1999-00.

"It is a great honor to be named to the All-MISL Second Team along with some of the best players in our League. Obviously we as a team (KiXX) didn't meet our expectations this year, but I am happy to be able to represent our city and fans," stated Morris, who finished the 2007-08 season with 17 goals, nine assists, and 46 points to lead all KiXX defenders.

Morris played in all 30 regular season games for Philadelphia. The Northeast Catholic alum blocked 48 shots, giving him 489 for his career, good for third among all active players and 16th all-time.

During his ninth season, Morris accrued a number of milestones including the 300th game played of his career and his 150th goal both coming on April 3 against Monterrey. Morris also recorded the 350th point of his career on January 27 against New Jersey and his 100th assist in Orlando on January 25.

Morris has played 301 career games, all for the KiXX, ranking behind only Don D'Ambra and Peter Pappas. Morris also ranks third in KiXX history with 152 goals and 371 points.
