
KiXX come to terms with two franchise cornerstones

Philadelphia, PA, October 20, 2008 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that the club has agreed to terms with Head Coach and all-time KiXX leading point scorer Don D'Ambra and all-time KiXX blocks leader Pat Morris for the upcoming 2008-09 season. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
D'Ambra will enter his 15th indoor season and 13th with the KiXX when the club begins play on November 15 at home versus the Rockford Rampage. The 2008-09 season also marks the Philadelphia natives seventh campaign as the team's player/coach. D'Ambra posted a team-best 21 goals, 22 assists, and 64 points last season. The St. Joseph's University graduate also scored the 1,000th point of his career on February 2, 2008 versus the Orlando Sharks, becoming just the 15th player in League history to reach the 1,000 point mark.
D'Ambra has led the club to two League championships, 2002 and 2007. While leading the club to the second title, D'Ambra was named the MISL Championship Game MVP, after scoring twice to defeat the Detroit Ignition, 13-8.
Morris, also a native of Philadelphia, made his professional indoor debut with the KiXX on November 26, 1999 and has remained a constant presence on the team's backline. Morris now ranks third all-time for the KiXX in games played with 301, behind only D'Ambra (420) and Peter Pappas (398). Morris was selected to his sixth All-League team last season, one marked by numerous milestones, including his 450th career block, 100th career assist, 350th career point, 150th career goal, and 300th career game played. Morris was a member of the US Futsal Team that competed in the CONCACAF FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer.
The KiXX will host the Rockford Rampage in the team's season opener on Saturday, November 15. Game time at the historic Wachovia Spectrum is set for 7:05pm ET.

Season ticket holders will receive invitations to KiXX events like the Meet the Team Party and Meet the Team Luncheon.
