KiXX Close out 2005 in Baltimore on December 30

Philadelphia, PA, December 30, 2005 - The Philadelphia KiXX (3-3) return to action after a rare three-week hiatus to close out 2005 versus the Baltimore Blast on Friday, December 30. The contest, the first of six this season between the League's oldest rivalries, at 1st Mariner Arena is scheduled to kick-off at 7:35 pm ET. Fans can listen to all of the action live via webcast at www.PennLive.com. Veteran indoor soccer broadcaster John Wilsbach will provide the game's play-by-play.
The KiXX enters tonight's match-up holding the overall series lead, 36-26, and are currently one-game over .500 when playing in Baltimore, 16-15. The Blast entered the season with a revamped roster, courtesy of the additions of forwards Adauto Neto and Robbie Aristodemo, both of which were acquired in the 2005 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Dispersal Draft of the Cleveland Force and the Kansas City Comets. Neto and veteran forward Denison Cabral have become a potent one-two punch for Baltimore; Neto currently leads the League with 17 points, while Cabral is tied for sixth with 11. Giuliano Celenza and Aristodemo trail close behind on the MISL Leaderboard with 10 and nine points, respectively and veteran Sagu is ranked second among MISL goalkeepers in points against average (4.61) and similar to Pappas enters the contest with a 3-3 record. The two clubs squared-off in a preseason exhibition at Tri-State Sports, the KiXX practice facility on October 27. The five-quarter scrimmage resulted in a nine-nine tie.
Philadelphia then rings in the New Year versus former player/coach Omid Namazi and the second-place St. Louis Steamers on Saturday, January 7. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is slated for 7:05 pm ET.
