Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, September 12, 2008 - Philadelphia KiXX assistant coach Adam Bruckner and Utah Jazz forward Kyle Korver will participate in a fundraiser on September 19th in an attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the longest kickball game ever played.

The Kyle Korver Foundation is sponsoring the 25-hour kickball game marathon with the goal of raising $10,000 for the Helping Hand Rescue Mission in North Philadelphia. Korver, formerly of the Philadelphia 76ers, has worked closely with the Mission and the under privileged kids in the surrounding community for over two years.

Bruckner, youth director at the Mission, is spearheading the event. The game will be played at Capitolo playground (9th and Federal), which borders the famous cheese steak stops of Pat's and Geno's in South Philadelphia. The event is free of charge for spectators and fans are encouraged to cheer on the tireless participants.

Each team will have a roster of 20 players, and Guinness rules require that four males and four females be on the field at all times. Players will be allowed to substitute and rest, but the game will be played continually for more than 24 hours.

The Helping Hand Rescue Mission is a Christian 501c3 ministry which has served the homeless and poor in Philadelphia for over 100 years. More information on the event including how to make donations, please visit www.phillykickball.blogspot.com.

First published in 1955, the annual Guinness World Records book is published in more than 100 countries and 20 languages and is one of the highest-selling books under copyright of all time with more than 3 million copies sold annually across the globe.

Guinness World Records celebrated its 50th anniversary edition in 2004, a year after the sale of its 100 millionth copy. The Guinness World Records website (www.guinnessworldrecords.com) receives more than 11 million visitors a year.
