Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release

LAKE CHARLES - After five years of professional coaching, Kip Texada has decided to retire from professional sports and let someone else take the reigns as head coach of the Swashbucklers. Owner, Thom Hager said, "The head coaching position was again offered to Coach Kip since he is such a great leader on and off the field. I have thoroughly enjoyed working closely with Coach Kip and have learned much about the game from him. It won't be an easy task to replace him."

Hager, who just promoted a new General Manager from within the organization said he already has his short list together and will make his decision with priority given to coaches and players from the Swashbucklers team. "I need someone who has a strong grasp of this game and look forward to introducing him to the fans at a press conference scheduled on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 11:45 AM."

Bagley, Swashbucklers' new GM, knows Hager will look for someone with high moral standards with character, discipline, vision, and passion to lead great players all the way to the championship. "I've saw how disappointed Thom was when the team fell to Corpus Christi in the playoffs. Bet he won't let that happen again, said Bagley".

For more information on this press conference, call the Swashbucklers' office between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
