HIDALGO, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees will be hosting a player meet-and-greet, tour of the locker room and ice rink, and luncheon for C.A.M.P. University on Wednesday, September 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the State Farm Arena.
The event will allow players of the Killer Bees to interact with members of the local organization, C.A.M.P. University. Once the participants arrive at the State Farm Arena, the players will take them to the ice rink where games and practices are held. They will also have the opportunity to see the locker room facilities of the Killer Bees.
C.A.M.P. University is a non-profit organization that offers a variety of programs for special needs high school graduates. Several services the organization provides are a day program that includes activities in the arts, life skills, training, academics, and social training. Participation in the Special Olympics year-round in various sports is also a big service that C.A.M.P. University administers for their members.
