Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release

The Killer Bees (13-16-5, 31 pts.) snapped an eight-game winless skid Friday night with a 4-3 shootout win over Amarillo. They look to build on that success today against the Southern Conference leading Laredo Bucks (22-9-2, 46 pts.). Laredo lost 4-1 to Youngstown at home last night and saw an eight-game winning streak broken. The Bees were idle last night. Despite the recent struggles, Rio is still in the thick of the Southern Conference playoff race. The Bees are four points behind third place Austin in the Southeast Division. In the Southwest Division, Arizona, Amarillo and New Mexico all sit with 33 points, while Division leader Odessa has 36 points.
