
Killer Bees Announce Top-Ten Favorite Players

HIDALGO, TEXAS --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (CHL) today announced the list of the team's Top 10 favorite players as selected via online fan voting.
Fans now have the opportunity to register online to vote for their Top 5 Favorite Bees of all time. One random fan will receive an official Fifth Anniversary jersey courtesy of KURV 710 Talk Radio and BMP Radio, while another fan will win a pair of tickets to "Five at the Hive Night." That night (Jan. 5, 2007) the top 5 vote-getters will be honored by the Bees and if possible, present at the game.
Selected from the all-time roster, the top 20 players were chosen based on popularity, on-ice performance and contributions to the franchise and community. The captain of each of the first four Bees teams was automatically selected. The list was narrowed down to the top 10 via online voting from June 27 to August 1.
Now fans may vote for the top 5 at killerbeehockey.com from August 8-September 12. Beginning September 19, on successive Wednesdays, the top 5 most popular players will be announced on killerbeehockey.com.
