Kentucky Retros News Release

Paducah, KY. The ABA Kentucky Retros are proud to announce the promotion of Head Basketball Coach Kevin Waters to Vice President of Basketball Operations. Mr. Waters has demonstrated all the characteristics of being a great team player and would benefit the team greatly at the administrative level. "In Mr. Waters' short tenure with the Retro's, he has formed relationships with the NBA's team scouting departments, introduced corporate sponsors, and is becoming a recognized name in minor league basketball," stated team owner Steve Van Waes. "The more I worked with Kevin, the more I have realized he knows far more about professional basketball than just the X's and O's."

"I am fulfilling a long time dream of working on the administative side of professional basketball," added Waters.

Mr. Waters' duties include, but are not limited to the hiring of head and assistant coaches, developing player personnel, overseeing player development, scouting college seniors, conducting free agent camps, developing youth summer camps, scheduling games, establishing relationships with NBA team scouts and working side by side with the owner.

Mr. Waters will immediately begin interviewing prospects for the head coaching position. If you are interested, you may send your cover letter along with a resume to coachwaters@yahoo.com. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
