
Kevin Shepard Inks Deal for 2006 Season

(Nashua, NH, April 10, 2006) - Nashua Pride team officials announced today that pitcher Kevin Shepard has signed a contract for this upcoming season.
Shepard was selected in the 30th round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2004 amateur entry draft. The former Boston College pitcher made two starts for the Phillies' Class A Batavia Muckdogs in the New York Penn League during 2004. That same year he also pitched for the Lakewood BlueClaws of the Class A South Atlantic League and amassed over 17 innings of work with a 8.83 ERA. In the 2005 season, the Newton, MA native again pitched for the Batavia Muckdogs and went 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA in 34 innings of work.
The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
