Kevin Rice Makes All-MLL Team Despite Injury Midseason

KENNESAW, GA - On August 19 th Major League Lacrosse announced the 2016 ALL- MLL team list. This list is a group of some of the best MLL players in the league who were chosen by MLL head coaches and General Managers. The selected players were chosen because of their outstanding performance this season in their respective positions.

For the Atlanta Blaze, Kevin Rice was two out of the three Attack players chosen. Although his season ended early with a knee injury, in just nine games he racked up 37 goals and 21 assists, with a total of 58 points. He finished the season leading the Blaze in points and was fourth on the MLL scoring list. In each individual game, Rice tallied at least four points and averaged 6.4 points per game.

Rice on his selection, "It's always an honor to be named as one of the best in your position, but in this case it is a little bittersweet because of my inability to compete for the full season. I'm excited to get back after recovery and be back stronger for next season."

The Atlanta Blaze will be hosting the Major League Lacrosse National Championship Game in Kennesaw Georgia this Saturday, August 19 th at 7pm. Come out to watch the fast-paced, hard hitting action as the Denver Outlaws take on the Ohio Machine.
