Kernels Announce Two Ballpark Concerts for 2019

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels are pleased to announce that they have scheduled TWO ballpark concerts for 2019: Hairball and The Pork Tornadoes.

Hairball returns to rock the ballpark on Saturday, July 6th at 7:30 PM and is a rock & roll experience you won't soon forget. The band pays homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world including Van Halen, KISS, Poison, Queen, Journey and AC/DC. Field tickets (standing on the field) are $25 and GA tickets in the seating bowl are $20. A limited number of VIP Tickets are available for $50 and include early access to the event, a meet and greet with the band before the show, field ticket access and two beverage coupons. Opening act will be Catfish Murphy. 94.1 KRNA and Z 102.9 are the proud media sponsors of Hairball!

The second ballpark concert will be The Pork Tornadoes on Saturday, August 17th at 7:30 PM. The Pork Tornadoes are a versatile and talented cover band that has been taking the Midwest by storm. Putting a unique spin on all of your favorite pop/rock hits from the 80s-today, The Pork Tornadoes put on a show you won't soon forget! The opening act for The Pork Tornadoes will be Birdchild. Field tickets (standing on field) are $15 and GA tickets in the seating bowl are $12. A limited number of Party Pit VIP tickets are available for $50 and include early access to the event and Party Pit VIP area access at front of the stage, private acoustic performance with the band, VIP lanyard and limited-edition Pork Tornadoes baseball trading cards, and private restroom and bar access in the VIP area on the field. Tickets for both shows go on sale Monday, March 25th at 10 AM. Tickets can be purchased online at www.kernels.com, by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at (319) 896-7560 or in person at the Kernels Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.
