Kenosha Mammoths Move to Springfield/Ozark, Missouri

Frontier Professional Baseball, Inc., the Frontier League, announces that its Kenosha, Wisconsin club has been relocated to Springfield/Ozark, Missouri. The club will be called the Springfield/Ozark Ducks. The team was previously a member of the Central and Texas/Louisiana Leagues since its inception in 1999. Its games are played at Price Cutter Park.
Frontier League Commissioner Bill Lee said, "We are extremely pleased to add Springfield/Ozark to the league. They have a beautiful facility, a great fan base and it is a tremendous area that fits nicely into the geographic boundaries of the Frontier League. The change to the Frontier League will also allow the fans of the Ducks to be closer to the other cities in their league and to help create more rivalries than they have been afforded in the past."
The Ducks will play in the West Division of the Frontier League. They will be managed by Greg Tagert, the winningest manager in Frontier League history. In 2003, playing in Kenosha the club finished second in the West Division.
