Newark, New Jersey- The Newark Bears announces Former Bench Coach for the New York Mets, Ken "Obie" Oberkfell as manager for the 2012 season.
Oberkfell led the Leones (Baseball Team in Dominican Republic) to their first Dominican Winter League title in 18 years in 2011 and a Caribbean Series, the third title in the clubs history. Newark Bears Hope Obie will enlighten and embrace his magic to the team just like he did for the Leones in Dominican Republic.
The Bears also welcomes Former, Major League player, Ralph Citarella as their Pitching Coach for the 2012 season.
With continuing support, Tim "Rock" Raines will be a great asset to the Bears organization by being the Director of Player Development. Raines is committed to the Bears and is excited about these new changes within the organization.
