Kelowna Falcons Release Schedule

November 15, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Kelowna Falcons News Release

The Kelowna Falcons and West Coast League are proud to announce their 2014 schedule.

The Falcons will play an unbalanced 54 game regular season schedule that will take them a league leading 9,239.2kms throughout the Pacific Northwest. The club will play in the newly aligned East Division and host 27 home games during their 14th season.

The Falcons will open the season at home versus the only other Canadian franchise the Victoria Harbourcats on Friday June 6, 2014. It's the only meeting of the season against the Harbourcats who now find themselves in the West Division. The Falcons will face the Wenatchee Applesox, Walla Walla Sweets and new Yakima franchise nine times over the course of the summer.

The Falcons will continue their tradition of offering free admission during the home opener on June 6.

The defending WCL Champion Corvallis Knights will not make a stop in Kelowna this summer; however the Falcons will visit them for a three game series from June 20-22.

Falcons General Manager Mark Nonis says, "I like our schedule, with six weekend series. Our fans have told us they like the weekend games, so we fought hard to get the right dates for our fans this summer. Now that the schedule has been released we can begin to plan the rest of the summer. I'm excited to turn this ship around and get started on June 6th at home."

Game times at Elks are scheduled for 6:35pm with the exception of Sunday games. Select game times may be changed once the promotional schedule is finalized.

Klamath Falls will host the WCL All-Star Game on July 21, 2014. The game will be hosted by the Gems at Kiger Stadium.

Season tickets for the 2014 season are now available and make a great stocking stuffer. Contact the Falcons headquarters - 250-763-4100.
