
KC Command's Wasil Named MVP

TULSA, Okla. - Kansas City QB STEPHEN WASIL has been named the National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 15 of the 2011 AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Wasil received 46 percent of the fans' votes on Facebook.com after making his first start for the Command this season. Wasil lead Kansas City to their fifth win of the season by defeating the Cleveland Gladiators, 50-41. Wasil completed 19-of-23 passes for 243 yards and five touchdowns. Wasil also scored on the ground, rushing for two touchdowns.
The Command (5-9) will travel to Utah to take on the Blaze (6-7) in Week 16 on Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. EST on NFL Network's "Arena Football Friday."
Other candidates for the award included Arizona DB Virgil Gray and Utah QB Tommy Grady.
