Katy Ruff Riders announce inaugural roster

KATY, TX - The Katy Ruff Riders announced today their official 23-man roster for their inaugural season in the Intense Football League. The Ruff Riders open play on Saturday, April 14 vs. the Corpus Christi Hammerheads at 4:00 pm at the Merrell Center in Katy. The roster was announced by Head Coach Donald Hollas (Rice, 1986-90).
Seven local Houston homegrown players and a total of seven former Texas Southern stars have made the team. Other players expected to make a big impact are former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman James Tenner; former Chicago Bears defensive back Demetrius Rector; starting quarterback Albert Higgs - the 2002 & 2005 National Indoor Football League MVP; and rookie wideout Se'e Poumele from the University of Hawaii.
