Nashville Kats News Release
NASHVILLE (March 14, 2005) â The Nashville Kats have relieved offensive coordinator Tres Sullivan of his duties, head coach Pat Sperduto announced on Monday.
"This is a tough decision," said Sperduto, "At this point in time our offensive production is not at the level it should be right now and a change needed to be made. We thank Tres for his work here and we wish him the best of luck in the future."
Sullivan has led the Kats' offense through the first seven weeks of the season, but Nashville has started the year 1-6 and ranks 16th out of 17 teams in scoring offense, averaging only 40.4 points per game. In fact, the Kats have scored fewer than 40 points in their last three games and have not gone over the 50-point mark at all this season.
Sperduto said that the team's coaching staff would reshuffle its responsibilities, including those of offensive playcalling.
Nashville has a bye this week and returns to action at home against the Arizona Rattlers (1-6) on Sat., March 26 at 7:30 p.m.
