
Kats' Fleming Reaches 10,000-Yard Mark

NASHVILLE - On a seven yard catch in the second quarter of Saturday night's 51-48 victory over the San Jose SaberCats, Kats WR/DB Cory Fleming further established himself as one of the AFL's greatest receivers by recording over 10,000 career receiving yards.
Fleming, who is in his 10th AFL season, is just the fourth player in AFL history to reach the 10,000 yard plateau. The other three players are Barry Wagner (13,186), Eddie Brown (12,730) and Gary Compton (10,247).
In what was a career night for Fleming, the Nashville-native finished with 85 yards on seven catches with two TD's and earned Offensive MVP and Ironman honors.
The former University of Tennessee star was named to the list of the league's 20 Greatest Players of All Time earlier this season, and he became just the third player in AFL history to record 800 career receptions earlier this season. Fleming currently has 857 catches for 10,025 yards and 124 TD's in a career that has earned him AFL Rookie of the Year and Ironman of the Year honors.
On the year, Fleming has 33 catches with 3,675 yards and five TD's for the Kats.
