KANSAS CITY - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced the 11 players named to the Best XI of the Month for June, presented by Mastercard, including Kansas City Current midfielder Debinha. This is the Brazilian's second award this season after being part of the NWSL's Best XI for March/April.

Debinha scored four goals and added an assist as she helped the team to win three of five matches in June. She had points in all but one of the matches played across all competitions in the month. With 41 career regular season goals, she is now tied for 10th all-time in career scoring and is the first Brazilian player to surpass the 40-goal milestone. Signed as a Free Agent in January, Debinha leads the Kansas City Current in goals scored, both for regular season play (6) and in the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup (3).

After a successful month for her club, Debinha is now headed to Australia and New Zealand to represent her home country in the 2023 FIFA World Cup. Brazil will play in Group F along with France, Jamaica and Panama. They will open the tournament July 24 against Panama at 6 a.m. CT, then face France July 29 at 5 a.m. CT before closing out the group stage August 2 against Jamaica at 5 a.m. CT.

Mastercard and the NWSL launched the Best XI of the Month awards platform with the First Team and Second Team honors for the 22 top players of the league after the 2021 season. The NWSL Best XI of the Month is selected each month of the regular season by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis, and the NWSL's on-air broadcast talent. The full Best XI for July is below:
