Tinton Falls, N.J. - Following a review of last Saturday's match by Opta Sports, the official stats provider of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Sky Blue FC goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan saw her stat line increase from six to seven saves in a 1-0 win over the Orlando Pride. That change increases her 2018 season total to 108 saves, which levels her with the all-time NWSL record that was set by Aubrey Bledsoe in the Washington Spirit's 2018 season finale on September 2.
During her 2018 NWSL campaign, Sheridan started 23 of 24 games and registered an average of 4.7 saves per match. This past season was her second year with Sky Blue FC after the club made her the no. 23 overall selection in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. As a rookie, the Canada international accumulated a 9-11-2 record and finished third in the league with 83 saves, bringing her career total to 191 stops over two seasons.
